It is the critical moment for construction industry in Hong Kong . Throughout the last 30 years, I have witnessed the increase in number of construction projects, fascinating designs, and technological innovations - yet the radical changes in business environment in recent years would be more worth to mention. Successful main contractors now must maintain excellent efficiency, elaborate more complicated mix of work, cope with more parties involved in the construction process, whereas clients are better advised about their demands on time, cost and quality. Also in today's I.T. era, good information management is a must.
The change has brought both threats and opportunities. Construction is now a much more difficult business than it was twenty or so years ago, when profit seemed to come with a secured contract. The positive side is, today's business environment has made local contractors more competent on their technical and managerial know-how.
In reviewing what New House has achieved in the past years, I am very pleased that my contributions have paid off. It is more reassuring that my belief and value on New House are proved to be correct, as it borne out by the steady growth throughout the years. Our valued developers, architects and engineers, who always pursue the best quality, confirm it by their satisfaction and approval on projects cooperated us.
Last but not least, my team of staff and sub-contractors, who have consistently attributed success, are truly part of company's assets. Their support, assembling the solid relations with clients, project managers, architects, engineers, surveyors, management consultants, and more, through the years, orchestrate a harmony throughout all the chances of cooperation. I commit to continue building on the foundation that is consolidated after years of hard work by all, and take another leap up. I hope you will share my confidence in the future of New House.
